This is a very attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless truly very scarcely found! - example of an early-period (ie. 'M40'-pattern and/or typically 'rounded'-styled), WH (Heeres) neatly 'cyphered' and white-piped NCO-type shoulderstrap as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Unteroffizier der Infanterie und Mitglied des Unteroffizierschule Bergzabern' (or: NCO- ie. junior-sergeant who served within a specific, infantry-related NCO-school that was based in the town of Bergzabern) and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat strap - which is executed in the darker-green-coloured wool and that has the desirable, 'silk-like'-type piping attached - measures approximately 12 cms. in length and comes mounted onto its period tongue. Next to the ('standard-issue') pattern, silver-toned NCO-braid does the strap show the neat machine-embroidered (by means of 'Kurbelstickerei'!) larger 'US'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') and smaller-sized 'b'-cypher (which are both executed in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured linnen as to be expected as can be seen on the pictures). The strap shows as stated above only minimal usage and wear (just some minimal age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present). It should be noted that ALL 'cyphered', NCO-pattern, 'Infanterie'-type shoulderstraps as were intended for candidates serving att one of the NCO-schools can easily be regarded 'very scarce'. In any case a very attractive 'Heeres-Infanterie'-related, NCO-type shoulderstrap that was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Unteroffizier der Infanterie und Mitglied des Unteroffizierschule Bergzabern': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
