This is a neat - and not that commonly seen - later-war- (ie. 1943-) pattern, field-grey-coloured, WH (Heeres, Waffen-SS etc.) so-called: 'Ohrenschützer' being intended to be worn in conjunction with the typical 'M43'-field-caps (ie. 'Einheitsfeldmützen') and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem never issued- nor worn- ie. still 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condtion. The piece retains both its period-attached, linnen-based fastening-strings (ie. 'Laschen') but is void of any makers'- nor size designation (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a neat WH head-gear 'winter-accesory' that is not that easily found and that is often missing in a mannequin-set-up or equipment-collection!
