Pair of early- (ie. pre-) war-period, WH (Heeres) 'M36'- (ie. 'M40'-) pattern 'cyphered' (pointed-styled) NCO-type shoulderstraps as intended for a: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied des Art.-Beo.-Abts. 7'
This is a very attractive - fully matching and as such actually quite scarcely encountered! - early- (ie. pre-war-) period, WH (Heeres), 'M36'- (ie. 'M40'-) type, pointed-styled and neatly 'cyphered' (and/or per regulation non-piped ie. generic-styled!)) NCO-type shoulderstraps as was intended for - and with certainty worn by! - a: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied des Art.-Beobachtungs-Abteilungs 7' (or: NCO ie. sergeant who served within a specific, artillery-observers' unit, numbered: '7') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly- ie. moderately used and/or worn- ie. carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The neat shoulderstraps have the darker-green-coloured and (smooth) woolen-based 'upperdecks' as to be expected and have (as per regulation) no piping attached: they are from the 'generic'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps come mounted onto their functional tongues attached and measure 12 cms. in length each: they show the silver-toned (early- ie. dotted-pattern) NCO-braid attached. Both straps show a neat (Gothic-styled, 'Buntmetall-based', larger-sized and/or bright ie. frosted-silver-toned) so-called: 'B'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer') and equally-styled (smaller-sized) '7'-numeral and/or single pip period attached. All six devices are very nicely preserved but do show some obvious age and/or wear (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps show some moderate age and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible- ie. present). It should be noted that all 'cyphered'-type shoulderstraps can be easily regarded 'scarce'. This attractive pair was never in collectors-hands and was recently found at a German private-household: it came with the other two pairs (68690 and/or 68691): all three pairs belonged to the same soldier (ie. later NCO) who stored these insignia-pieces for decades. Simply an attractive and/or early- (ie. pre-) war period, 'cyphered Heeres'-related NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair as was intended for a: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied des Art.-Beobachtungs-Abteilungs 7': I deem that I have priced this attractive and neatly 'cyphered' pair, accordingly!
