Single, WH (Heeres) EM-type 'cyphered' shoulderstrap: 'Soldat des Infanterie-Rgts. 64'
This is an unusually seen - albeit regrettably single! - early- (ie. pre-) war-period WH (Heeres) 'M36 o. M40'-pattern, 'cyphered' enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap (being I deem of a typical 'standard-issued'- ie. non-private-production) having the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured and/or 'woolen'-type piping attached as was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Infanterie-Regiments 64' (or: simple soldier who served within the infantry-regiment, numbered: '64') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit just moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The strap - which measures 12,4 cms. in length - is fully 'text-book' in all facets and is executed in darker-green-coloured wool and having the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured and/or 'woolen'-type piping attached (as can be noticed on the pictures). The strap never had a tongue attached and does show the white-coloured '6'- and/or: '4'-cyphers (ie. numerals or: 'Ziffern') attached (which are both executed in the neat 'Kurbelstickerei' as to be expected as can be seen on the pictures). These type of shoulderstraps are of the pre- (ie. early-) war-period-pattern and were (I deem) worn in the period around 1938/1940 but also saw usage in the early-war years. The strap only shows minimal wear and/or age and is just nicely preserved over the years: it came as clearly 'cut-of a tunic' (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive early-period and neatly 'cyphered' shoulderstrap that belonged to a: 'Soldat des Infanterie-Regiments 64' and that is with certainty accordingly priced!
