This is a very attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless exceedingly rarely found! - example of an early-period (ie. 'M36- o. M40'-pattern and/or typically 'pointed'-styled), WH (Heeres) neatly 'cyphered' (and/or per regulation non-piped ie. generic-styled!) NCO-type shoulderstrap as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel des Wachbatallions Berlin' (or: NCO ie. sergeant and/or infantry-soldier who served within the famous guard-batallion based in the town of Berlin) and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat strap - which is executed in the typical darker-green-coloured wool - is naturally void of any piping (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap measures approximately 12,6 cms. in length and comes mounted onto its period tongue (as can be noticed on the pictures). The shoulderstrap shows an aluminium-based (and regular-sized) so-called: 'W'-cypher (and equally styled- and/or also regular-sized) pip period-attached. Moreover, does the strap shows the 'standard'-type, silverish-grey-coloured NCO-braid attached denoting the NCOs-rank of a: 'Feldwebel' (ie. sergeant). The strap shows as stated above only moderate usage and wear (just some minimal age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present). It should be noted that ALL 'cyphered', NCO-pattern, 'Wachbataillon'-type shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'very rare'. In any case a very attractive and/or: early-war-period, 'Wachbataillon'-related, NCO-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel des Wachbatallions Berlin': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
