This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single and carefully cut-of a tunic! - (I deem) early- ie. mid-war-period, so-called: 'M40 o. M43'-pattern and 'cyphered', WH (Heeres) NCO-type shoulderstrap as was piped in the light-blue- (ie. 'kornblumenblauer'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by an: 'Oberfeldwebel des Nachschub-Abteilungs 8' (or: sergeant first-class and possible driver who served within the army transport-troops unit, numbered: '8') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. just moderately worn-), condition. The shoulderstrap - which measures approximately 11,2 cms. in length as more often seen - has the neat 'silk-like'-type piping attached (as is more encountered with these early- ie. mid-war-period shoulderstraps). The shoulderstrap - which originates from a larger cloth- and insignia-collection I recently acquired for the web-site - shows the silverish-grey-toned (ie. non-sub-dued) NCO-braid attached and is void of a tongue: it was I deem carefully cut-of a tunic (as can be noticed on the pictures). Next to the NCO-braid does the strap show two (smaller-sized, matching and zinc-based) pips and an (identically-styled) '8'-numeral (ie. 'Ziffer') period-attached. Simply an attractive - and/or fully 'text-book'!, M40- ie. 43-pattern NCO-type 'Nachschub'-shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by an: 'Oberfeldwebel des Nachschub-Abteilungs 8'!
