This is a truly very attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless rarely found! - example of an early-war-period (ie. 'M40'-pattern) bright-pink (ie. 'rosaroter'-) piped, WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Soldat u. Mitglied des Panzer-Abwehr-Abteilungs 19' (part of the: '19. Infanterie-Division') (or: simple anti-tank- ie. tank-destroyer-soldier who served within the anti-tank-unit, numbered: '19') and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat strap - which is executed in the darker-green-coloured, smooth-based wool - shows the bright-pink (ie. 'rosaroter'-) coloured and/or woolen-type piping attached as to be expected. The strap - that came with a field-grey-toned tunic-button attached - measures approximately 11,2 cms. in length came without tongue (it was clearly used as a strap of the 'sew-in'-pattern). It does show the neat (machine-embroidered by means of (very detailed!) 'Handstickerei'), Gothic-styled: 'P'-cypher and/or: '1'- and/or '9'-numerals (or: 'Ziffern') attached (which are executed in the bright-pink- ie. 'rosatoter'-coloured wool ie. linnen as to be expected). The strap - which is of the typical 'standard-issued'-pattern that was (I deem) intended for usage on a dress-tunic (ie. 'Waffenrock' - shows hardly any usage nor wear (just some minimal age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present). It should be noted that ALL 'cyphered', enlisted-mens'-pattern, 'Panzerabwehr'-type shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'rare' and come not that often for sale. In any case a very attractive and early-war-period, 'Heeres-Panzerabwehr'-related, EM-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat u. Mitglied des Panzer-Abwehr-Abteilungs 19': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
