Superb, pair of WH (Heeres) 'cyphered' higher-ranked officers'-type shoulderboards: 'Oberstleutnant eines Panzerjäger-Abts.' (having a scarcely seen pair of medium-sized 'P'-cyphers ie. 'Ziffern', period-attached)

The very attractive - and truly fairly scarely seen! - pair of higher-ranked WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards on offer here are 'text-book'-examples of the typical Heeres'-type, 'Panzer'-related shoulderboards and have the silverish-grey- (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued'-type) 'upperdecks': they are (I deem) hardly or even never used- ie. worn and just show some minimal age and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show the desirable bright-pink- (ie. 'rosaroter'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the 'smooth-type' wool as to be expected). The boards never had any tongues attached and were intended as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern. The boards measure approximately 11 cms. in length each and shows a fully matching set of (neatly golden-toned, medium-sized- and/or fully identical) Gothic-styled: 'P'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') and a (regular-sized, equally styled) pair of pips period-attached denoting that the pair belonged to a senior-officer ie. lieutnant-colonel who served within a: 'Panzerjäger-Abteilung' (ie. anti-tank- or tank-destroyer-unit). All four devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and fairly bright- (and/or quite shiny!) age-patina. Taking into account the fact that the set has silverish-grey- (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued'-type-) 'upperdecks' I deem that it was a pair that was intended to be used on a regular-type tunic. It should be mentioned that these neatly 'cyphered' (and higher-ranked!), 'Heeres'-type 'Panzerjäger'-shoulderboards are actually quite hard to come by and can easily be graded 'very scarce'. Simply a very attractive shoulderboard-pair that belonged to an: 'Oberstleutnant eines Panzerjäger-Abteilungs' and that is (I deem) accordingly priced!
