This is a very attractive - and simply never mounted nor used! - example of a darker-green- and/or silver-coloured, NCO-type side-arm knot (ie. 'Portepee' ie.: 'Troddel') as was specifically intended for usage onto the various WH-bayonets and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'- and/or most certainly never mounted-), condition. These NCO-type side-arm knots (ie. 'Portepee' or: 'Troddel') were specifically intended for usage on the K98 bajonets (ie. their leather bayonet-frogs) as worn by 'Unteroffiziere' (ie. NCO-usage). The piece shows some minimal storage-age only and comes as issued and comes 'still tied-together' (as can be seen on the photos) but is void of any damage and is of course still fully functional. The piece was recently uncovered at a German private-household and was never before in collectors'-hands. Simply an attractive example that is with certainty accordingly priced!
