This is an attractive - and once mounted ie. used! - example of a darker-green- and/or silver-coloured, NCO-type side-arm knot (ie. 'Portepee' ie.: 'Troddel') as was specifically intended for usage onto the various WH-bayonets and that comes in an overall nice- (I deem just moderately used- ie. once side-arm-mounted-), condition. These NCO-type side-arm knots (ie. 'Portepee' or: 'Troddel') were specifically intended for usage on the K98 bajonets (ie. their leather bayonet-frogs) as worn by 'Unteroffiziere' (ie. NCO-usage). The piece shows some minimal age only and comes as issued and worn (as can be seen on the photos) but is void of any damage and is of course still fully functional. The piece was recently uncovered at a German private-household and was never before in collectors'-hands. Simply an attractive example that is with certainty accordingly priced!
