Pair of early- (ie. pre-) war-period- (ie. 'M39/M40'-pattern), WH (Heeres) 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstraps: 'Unteroffizier des Infanterie-Rgts. 15'

This is an attractive - fully matching and actually fairly scarcely encountered! - pair of (I deem) early- (ie. pre-) war-period (ie. (ie. 'M39/M40'-pattern), WH (Heeres) 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstraps having the white- (ie. weisser-) coloured branchcolour as executed in the neat field-grey-coloured-wool as was specifically intended for - and with certainty used by! - an: 'Unteroffizier des Infanterie-Regiments 20' (or: junior-sergeant who served within the infantry-regiment, numbered: '20') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit just moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The straps - which measure 12 cms. in length each - are fully 'text-book' in all facets and are executed in field-grey-toned wool and having the white- (ie. weisser-) coloured and woolen-type piping attached. The straps never had any tongues attached and were most certainly used as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern. The pair shows the (silverish-toned, 'dotted'-style) NCO-braid attached: moreover, do they show the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured '1'- and/or '5'-cyphers (ie. numerals or: 'Ziffern') which are executed in so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei' as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). These type of (early) shoulderstraps are of the pre- (ie. early-) war-period pattern straps and were (I deem) worn in the period around 1939/1940 and were 'worn-out' during the war. The pair only shows moderate wear and/or age and is just nicely preserved over the years (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive - and with certainty quite scarcely encountered! - 'cyphered' shoulderstrap-pair that belonged to an: 'Unteroffizier des Infanterie-Regiments 15' and that is (I deem) accordingly priced!
