This is an attractive - just moderately used and fully matching! - pair of (carefully 'cut-off a tunic' and/or 'standard-issued' ie. non-tailor-made!) WH (Heeres), early- (ie. mid-) war-period, so-called: 'M40'-pattern NCO-type shoulderstraps (ie. 'Schulterstücke für Unteroffiziere des Heeres') having the desirable darker-blue- (ie. 'blauer'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel u. Offiziers-Anwärter der Sanitäts-Truppen' (or: NCO and medical-orderly ie. sergeant and officers-candidate who served within a medical-unit that in my opinion belonging to the infantry-regiment, numbered: '44' ie. being a so-called: 'Divisionseigenes Verband') and that comes in overall nice- (I deem just moderately used- and/or clearly worn-), condition. The neat straps - which are both approximately 12,2 cms. sized in length - have the 'standard-pattern', darker-green-coloured- and/or woolen-based 'upperdecks' and have as stated above the darker-blue- (ie. 'blauer'-) coloured and/or woolen-type piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The shoulderstraps have the (typical) silver-coloured (ie. non-sub-dued-pattern) NCO-braid attached and do show two (matching) pairs of (early-styled, 'Buntmetall'-based and/or larger-sized) '4'-numerals (ie. cyphers) attached and do also show a matching set of (identical, regular-sized and/or typical aluminium-based) pips, period-attached. All devices are nicely preserved but do show some obvious age and/or wear (as can be seen on the pictures). Of additional interest is, naturally also the fact that this pair came with a (matching!) pair of (double-sized, loosely attached) so-called: 'Anwärter-Laschen' attached denoting that the NCO who wore this pair was - ie. held the function of - a: 'Feldwebel u. Offiziers-Anwärter'. The pair came without tongues as found (it was most certainly used as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern) and does just show some minimal age, wear and/or staining only. The shoulderstraps - which originate from a larger cloth- and insignia-collection I recently acquired for the web-site - are a typical 'standard-issued'- (ie. non-privately-purchased-) pair (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a neat - and fairly early- (ie. mid-) war-period - 'Heeres' NCO-type, shoulderstrap-pair that belonged to a: 'Feldwebel u. Offiziers-Anwärter der Sanitäts-Truppen' I deem that I have priced this attractive 'Sanitäter'-related pair, accordingly!
