Attractive - albeit regrettably single! - example of an early-period (ie. 'M36- o. M40'-pattern and pointed-styled), WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', EM-type shoulderstrap as was intended for a: 'Soldat des Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs-Rgts. 13'

This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless scarcely found! - example of an early-period (ie. 'M36- o. M40'-pattern and/or typically 'pointed'-styled) WH (Heeres) neatly 'cyphered' (and/or per regulation non-piped ie. generic-styled!) enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap as was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs-Rgts. 13' (or: private and/or cavalry-soldier who served within the cavalry- or reconnaissance regiment, numbered '13') and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat strap - which is executed in the darker-green-coloured wool - is naturally void of any piping (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap measures approximately 12 cms. in length and comes mounted onto its period tongue (as can be noticed on the picturs). The neat strap shows the typical Roman-styled, capital: 'XIII'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') which are neatly machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei' (as can be seen on the pictures). The 'cyphers' are executed in the golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured coloured wool ie. linnen as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap shows as stated above only moderate usage and wear (just some minimal age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present). It should be noted that ALL 'cyphered', EM-pattern, 'Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs'-type shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'very scarce'. In any case a very attractive and/or: early-war-period, 'Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs'-related, EM-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs-Rgts. 13': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
