Superb - albeit regrettably single! - example of an early-period (ie. 'M36- o. M40'-pattern and pointed-styled), WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', EM-type shoulderstrap as was intended for a: 'Soldat u. Mitglied einer Infanterie-Schule'

This is a very attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless rarely found! - example of an early-period (ie. 'M36- o. M40'-pattern and/or typically 'pointed'-styled) WH (Heeres) neatly 'cyphered' (and/or per regulation non-piped ie. generic-styled!) enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap as was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat u. Mitglied einer Infanterie-Schule' (or: private and/or infantry-soldier ie. student who served within one of the army infantry-schools) and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat strap - which is executed in the darker-green-coloured wool - is naturally void of any piping (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap measures approximately 12 cms. in length and comes mounted onto its period tongue (as can be noticed on the picturs). The neat strap shows the typical Gothic-styled, capital: 'S'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer') which is neatly machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei' (as can be seen on the pictures). The 'cypher' is executed in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured coloured wool ie. linnen as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap shows as stated above only moderate usage and wear (just some minimal age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present). It should be noted that ALL 'cyphered', EM-pattern, 'Infanterie-Schule'-type shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'rare'. In any case a very attractive and/or: early-war-period, 'Infanterie-Schule'-related, EM-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat u. Mitglied einer Infanterie-Schule': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
