Pair of early- (ie. pre-) war-period WH (Heeres), 'M36'- (ie. 'M40-) pattern (rounded-style) 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstraps as was intended for an: 'Unteroffizier u. Mitglied des Eisenbahn-Baukolonne 12'

This is an attractive - fully matching and with certainty very scarcely found! - pair of (fairly early-war ie. rounded-styled) and neatly 'cyphered', WH (Heeres) NCO- (ie. 'M36'- ie. 'M40'-pattern) shoulderstraps as piped in the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for - and clearly used by! - an NCO (ie. 'Unteroffizier' or: junior-sergeant) who served within an armoured-trains-related, engineers'-unit ie. 'Eisenbahn-Baukolonne' numbered: '12') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn- and/or most certainly once tunic-attached-), condition. The straps are just moderately worn and do show some minimal wear, age and/or staining but are void of any real damage or alike (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps show the desirable black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured- and/or woolen-type piping and measure approximately 12 cms. in length each. The pieces show the 'standard'-pattern (somewhat sub-dued) silverish-grey-coloured, NCO-braid attached and never had any tongues: they were clearly used as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair shows a pair of the neat (Gothic-styled, black-coloured) so-called: 'E'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') and equally-styled: '12'-numerals attached (as executed in wool in typical 'Kurbelstickerei'!) denoting the NCOs rank of an: 'Unteroffizier' (or: junior-sergeant). The pair is constructed from the typical darker-green-coloured wool and is with certainty a 'standard-issued'-pair. These type of shoulderstraps are of the fairly early-war-period-pattern straps and were worn in the period around 1939/1940 (and were 'worn-out' even during the rest of the war). This particular pair originated from a larger cloth- ie. 'cyphered'-shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive - and with certainty desirable! - 'cyphered', 'Eisenbahn-Pioniere'-related NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair that belonged to an: 'Unteroffizier u. Mitglied des Eisenbahn-Baukolonne 12': I deem that I priced this attractive - and rare! - pair according to its overall nicely preserved condition!
