Fantastic - very desirable and complete! - truly worn and carefully tunic-removed, WH (Heeres) tropical-issued (ie. DAK-related) EM-insignia-grouping as was worn by a: 'Soldat o. Gefreiter u. Mitglied einer Nachrichen-Abtls.'

I was able to acquire this wonderful - clearly used, sun-faded and truly rarely found! - WH (Heeres) tropical-issued (ie. DAK- or: Deutsches Afrikakorps-related) 10-pieced, enlisted-mens'-insignia-grouping as was worn by a: 'Soldat o. Gefreiter u. Mitglied einer Nachrichen-Abteilungs' (ie. simple private first-class who served within an army, signals'-related unit) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. As you will notice does the set comprises of a superb (I deem early-period!) shoulderstrap-pair that has the neat bright-yellow- (ie. 'zitronengelber'-) coloured and/or desirable 'silk-like'-type piping attached and that comes mounted onto its functional tongues as issued and/or most certainly worn. The straps come in a fully 'text-book' condition and have the 'yellowish-green'-coloured and/or linnen-based 'upperdecks'. The straps - that measure approximately 11,5 cms. in length each - are 'backed' with earthen-brown-coloured wool, something that is more often encountered with early-period, genuine tropical ie. DAK- (or 'Deutsches Afrikakorps'-) related shoulderstraps. The straps are clearly worn but are totally undamaged (they are just somewhat faded ie. slightly stained caused by regular usage) and comes in a truly great condition overall. Next to this did the grouping came with a tropical breast-eagle, a pair of (rare!) EM/NCO-collar-tabs and a tropical-rank-chevron (which insignia are clearly worn and or carefully tunic-removed as can be noticed on the pictures). Next to this did the grouping hold a (carefully cap-removed!) tropical side-cap-eagle and matching cocarde (both pieces executed in 'BeVo'-weave pattern). Next to this did the grouping hold a single, early-styled (ie. 'Buntmetall'-based) pith-helmet-shield (of which one prong is missing) and a neat US-issued so-called: 'Prisoner of War Camp Canteen'-voucher booklet (which is still half full of coupons and that was issued on 26 August 1946). One and other makes it possible to identify the soldier who wore this set being a certain: 'Gefreiter Joachim Krüger' (or alike) who was made a POW and was transported to the US where he was imprisoned in Camp Blanding in Florida/USA. As one can surely notice are all pieces clearly used and/or carefully tunic-removed: they all show the remains of having been once tunic- (ie. cap-)attached. All items in the insignia-grouping were surely always together and came from a tropical tunic (ie. side-cap or even M43 'Einheitsfeldmütze'). The set was part of my private-collection for some years and was acquired by a good friend of mine in Germany who I know for decades and is of course 100% original and period: Regrettably, did my friend also know what he had found and I had to pay a lot of money for the grouping (as you can surely imagine). I intend to sell the insignia-grouping as a group so that it can remain together as a group. My asking-price is high but I deem still fair. Simply a truly fantastic WH (Heeres) tropical-issued (ie. DAK-related!) complete EM-insignia-grouping as was worn by a: 'Soldat o. Gefreiter u. Mitglied einer Nachrichen-Abtls.': It should be noted that complete sets like these come NOT that often for sale and are highly desirable!
