The neat - clearly 'cut-off' and just moderately used and/or worn! - typical 'standard-issued'- (ie. non 'tailor-made'!) 'M40'-pattern pair of WH (Heeres), NCO-type shoulderstraps as was piped in the desirable white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour and that was as such as intended for - and most certainly worn by! - an: 'Unteroffizier der Infanterie-Truppen' (or: junior-sergeant who served within an army-infantry'-related, unit) and that comes in an overall nicely preserved- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The pair is just moderately used- ie. worn as such and shows some minimal wear, age and/or staining: it was carefully 'cut-off-a-tunic' (as can be noticed on the pictures). The 'text-book' Heeres shoulderstraps measure approximately 10 cms. in length each and have the typical woolen-type piping attached as is more often encountered with these early-war-period shoulderstrap-pairs. The shoulderstraps have the darker-green-coloured- and/or (smooth) woolen-based 'upperdecks' and have the neat 'standard'-type, silverish-coloured- (ie. non-'sub-dued') and/or: 'Heeres'-type NCO-braid period-attached (as can be noticed on the pictures). The pair originates from a private-household in Germany where it was recently found as such: it was never part of a collection. Simply a great occasion to acquire a neat - and most certainly desirable! - shoulderstrap-pair that belonged to an: 'Unteroffizier der Infanterie-Truppen'!
