Pair of early-war-period, WH (Heeres) 'M40'-pattern, neatly 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstraps as intended for a: 'Soldat u. Mitglied des Artillerie-Rgts. 42'

This is a truly very attractive - fully matching, 'standard-issued' and as such actually scarcely encountered! - early-war-period, WH (Heeres), 'M40'-pattern and neatly 'cyphered', enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstraps (ie. 'Schulterstücke für Mannschaften des Heeres') as piped in the bright-red- (ie. hochroter-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for - and with certainty worn by! - a: 'Soldat u. Mitglied des Artillerie-Regiments 42' (or: simple private who served within the artillery regiment, numbered: '42') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used and/or worn- ie. carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The neat shoulderstraps have the darker-green-coloured, woolen-based 'upperdecks' as to be expected and have the bright-red- (ie. hochroter-) coloured and (typical) woolen-type piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps come mounted onto their functional tongues attached and measure approx. 10,3 cms. in length each. Both straps have the neat so-called: '4'- and/or: '2'-numerals (ie. cyphers) attached (which 'Ziffern' are excuted in bright-red-toned wool in so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei' as can be seen on the pictures). The straps do just show some minimal age and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible- ie. present). It should be noted that all 'cyphered'-type shoulderstraps can be easily regarded 'scarce'. This attractive pair was never in collectors'-hands and was recently found at a German private-household. Simply a very attractive and/or early-war period, 'cyphered Heeres'-related, NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair as was specifically intended for a: 'Soldat u. Mitglied des Artillerie-Regiments 42': I deem that I have priced this very attractive and neatly 'cyphered' EM-type pair, accordingly!
