This is an attractive - fully matching and actually scarcely encountered! - pair of (I deem) early- (ie. presumably even 'Reichswehr'-) period, 'cyphered' WH (Heeres) enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstraps as was piped in the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Pionier-Bataillons 6' (or: simple soldier who served within the army-engineers-battalion, numbered: '6') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit hardly used- and/or worn-), condition. The straps - which measure 11,5 cms. in length each - are fully 'text-book' in all facets and are executed in the ('Reichwehr'-era type-) smooth-type wool, having the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured (and rayon-type) piping attached (as can be noticed on the pictures). Both straps show hardly any wear nor age: some minimal staining is present and noticable. Both shoulderstraps show the neat (embroidered by means of hand-embroidery) '6'- numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') which are executed in the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured wool ie. linnen as to be expected. The straps never had any tongues attached and were most certainly intended as a pair of the sew-in-pattern. Simply an attractive - and with certainty scarcely encountered! - 'cyphered' shoulderstrap-pair that belonged to a: 'Soldat des Pionier-Bataillons 6': one of the few such early shoulderstrap-pairs in this enigineer-related branchcolour I ever had on offer!
