This is an attractive - fully matching and actually not that easily found! - pair of (I deem) typically 'tailor-made'- ie. 'privately-purchased'-pattern, WH (Heeres) early-war period- (ie. 'M40'-pattern) NCO-type shoulderstraps (ie. 'Schulterstücke für Unteroffiziere des Heeres') as piped in the desirable golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branch-colour as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Unteroffizier u. Mitglied eines Kavallerie. o. Aufklärungs-Regiments' (or: junior-sergeant who served within within a specific cavalry- ie. reconnaisance regiment or unit) and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. just moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. The neat straps - which have the 'standard'-pattern, darker-green-coloured- and/or typical 'smooth- ie. boiled-woolen'-based 'upperdecks' (and tongues!) and that measure approximately 11,2 cms. in length each - show the neat golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured and/or woolen-type piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps - that also show the typical, silver-toned NCO-braid attached - come naturally mounted onto their period (entirely from boiled-wool constructed) tongues attached and come both in an overall nice- and/or just moderately used- and/or worn condition (as can be seen on the pictures). The pieces that show some minimal moth-damage on their backs (nothing shocking though) came with a pair of (period-attached, alumuminum-based and smaller-sized) tunic-buttons attached. Simply an excellent occasion to acquire a neat NCO-type, 'Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs'-related shoulderstrap-pair for an I deem justified price!
