Single, WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard: 'Oberleutnant eines Panzerjäger-Abtlgs.'
Category:
This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single! - neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard having the (bright!) pink-coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Oberleutnant eines Panzerjäger-Abteilungs' (or: lieutnant-first-class who served within a specific anti-tank- ie. tank-destroyers' regiment ie. unit) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit I deem just moderately used ie. worn- and/or I deem carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderboard which is approximately 11 cms. sized in length and that is piped in the neat bright-pink- (ie. 'rosaroter'-) coloured branchcolour as to be expected shows a neat (bright golden-coloured, 'Buntmetall'-based, Gothic-styled- and/or: regular-sized) so-called: 'P'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer' and an equally-styled (and also regular-sized) pip, period-attached denoting that the strap was intended for a junior-officer who held the rank of an: 'Oberleutnant' (ie. lieutnant-first-class). Both devices show some regular age and/or minimal tarnish but are both still nicely preserved. The strap comes mounted onto its (typical) smaller-sized tongue attached and does show some minimal age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece was never before in collectors'-hands and was recently found as such. Simply an attractive 'Heeres' officers'-type shoulderstrap that belonged to an: 'Oberleutnant eines Panzerjäger-Abteilungs': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
