This is a neat - and/or fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres) NCO-type (ie. early-war-period ie. 'M40'-pattern) neatly 'cyphered' shoulderstraps (being a so-called: 'privately-purchased'-pair) as piped in the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for - and/or most certainly worn by! - an: 'Oberfeldwebel des Infanterie-Regiments 2' (or: NCO and sergeant first-class who served within the infantry-regiment, numbered: '2') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used and/or worn-), condition. The straps are just moderately worn and do show some wear, age and/or minimal staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps have the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured and/or woolen-type piping attached and measure approximately 11,5 cms. in length each. The straps have the darker-green-toned and smooth-woolen-based 'upperdecks' and do show the ('standard'- ie. regular-) type, bright-silver-coloured, NCO-braid and four (identical, regular-sized and aluminium-based) pips and a pair of (equally styled and typical early-pattern) '2'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') period-attached and come mounted onto their functional (typically smaller-sized) tongues as to be expected. The straps - which were in my opinion obviously privately-purchased and originated from a tailor-shop - were recently uncovered in Germany and were never before part of any collection: they show some minimal wear and/or usage (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive WH (Heeres), 'privately-purchased', WH-'Infanterie'-related shoulderstrap-pair that beloged to an: 'Oberfeldwebel des Infanterie-Regiments 2' and that is with certainty accordingly priced!
