This is a truly very attractive - fully matching and with certainty rarely encountered! - pair of WH (Heeres), early- (ie. mid-) war-period (ie. 'M41'-pattern styled), NCO-type shoulderstraps as piped in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for an: 'Unteroffizier u. Offizieranwärter eines Infanterie-Regiments der “Grossdeutschland”-Division' (or: NCO ie. junior-sergeant and officers-candidate who served within an infantry-related unit within the greater “Grossdeutschland”-Division) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly ie. moderately used and/or worn- and/or carefully 'cut-of-a-tunic'-), condition. The neat and very desirable shoulderstraps - which have the 'standard'-pattern, field-grey-coloured- and/or: woolen-based 'upperdecks' - have the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured- and/or desirable 'silk-like'-type piping attached. The straps - which measure approximately 10,5 cms. in length each - come without tongues (they were carefully 'cut-of-a-tunic' but come nevertheless in a very nice, ie. fully 'text-book'-condition, overall. The straps are a clear example of a 'standard-issued'-pattern pair and show the neat interwoven 'GD'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern'), which are executed in white-coloured, machine-embroidery (as per regulation). Moreover, does the pair show the ('standard-issued'-pattern, silver-toned NCO-braid and two (firmly attached) loops (ie. 'Laschen') attached denoting the (unusual!) NCOs rank ie. function of an: an: 'Unteroffizier u. Offizieranwärter'. The straps show - as stated above - only moderate usage ie. wear (just some moderate age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present). In any case is this a superb occasion to acquire a very attractive and desirable NCO-type, 'M41'-pattern, 'Infanterie'-related GD-shoulderstrap-pair: it has been some time that I could offer such a neat “GD“-shoulderstrap-pair!
