This is a truly attractive - fully matching and with certainty rarely encountered! - pair of neatly 'cyphered', WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards as piped in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Leutnant der Infanterie-Truppen u. Mitglied der Unteroffizierschule Deggendorf' (or: infantry lieutnant who served within the specific NCO-training-school as was based in the town of Dresden) and that come in an overall very nice- (and I deem clearly used- ie. worn- and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The neat shoulderboards - which are actually not that easily encountered and can easily be graded 'fairly rare' - are constructed in the smooth-type (ie. 'moleskin'-like) wool and are piped in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour (denoting an: 'Infanterie'-background of the officer who wore this pair). The boards - which have a length of approximately 11 cms. each - never had any tongues and were clearly a pair that was worn as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern: both boards still show some stitching-holes (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards have the 'silver-greyish'-coloured (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued'-) 'upperdecks' (something that - I deem - clearly identifies them as 'front-used' pair). The boards show some moderate age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards originate from a private-household in Germany and were never before part of a collection. This pair shows a (fully matching, larger-sized- and/or bright-golden-toned) set of Gothic-styled- so-called: 'US'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') and two (smaller-sized- and equally-styled) 'D'-cyphers period-attached: all four devices show some minimal tarnish ie. wear but are simply very nicely preserved. The neat pair - that came with a pair of silver-toned 'screw-on'-buttons (ie. 'Schraubknöpfe') attached - does just show some minimal age, wear and/or staining but is void of any damage or alike (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a very attractive - and most certainly desirable! - WH officers'-pattern shoulderboard-pair that belonged to a: 'Leutnant der Infanterie-Trpn. u. Mitglied der Unteroffizierschule Deggendorf': only the first such rare officers'-type shoulderboard-pair in this particular rank I ever had on offer!
