This is a neat - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless not that easily found! - WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard as was executed in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for - and with certainty worn by! - a: 'Major des Infanterie Regiments 11' (or: major who served within the infantry regiment, numbered: '11' and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. clearly tunic-removed-) condition. The board - which is executed in the 'smooth'-like- and/or white-coloured wool measures approximately 10,2 cms. in length and has a fairly sub-dued- (ie. typical silver-greyish-coloured) 'upperdeck'. The board came mounted onto its (functional, smaller-sized) tongue and was clearly used as such. The board - that came with a silver-toned 'screw-on'-button (ie. 'Schraubknopf') attached - shows a matching pair of (regular-sized, older-styled, bright-golden-toned and/or 'Buntmetall'-based) '1'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') period attached: both devices are just somewhat tarnished and/or stained but are still very nice and/or pronounced (of interest is, moreover, the fact both devices were added before the board was totally assembled as can be noticed on the pictures). This particular example originated from a larger cloth- ie. shoulder-strap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive, officers'-type, 'cyphered' shoulderboard that belonged to a: 'Major des Infanterie Regiments 11': too bad it is only a single specimen!
