Neat - albeit regrettably single! - WH (KM ie. 'Küsten-Artillerie') 'cyphered' officers'-type shoulderboard (as was specifically intended for uage on the field-grey-coloured tunics) as was intended for a: 'Oberleutnant eines Küsten-Art.-Abtlgs.'

This is a neat - regrettably single albeit actually not that easily- ie. scarcely encountered! - neatly 'cyphered', WH (Kriegsmarine ie. 'Küsten-Marine o. Küsten-Artillerie') officers'-type shoulderboard (as was specifically intended for uage on the field-grey-coloured tunics) is piped in the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured branchcolour and was as such intended for usage by an: 'Oberleutnant eines Küsten-Artillerie-Abteilungs' (or: lieutnant first-class who served within a naval coastal-artillery unit) and that comes in an overall nice- (I deem just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The shoulderboard is a 'text-book'-example of a 'Küstenartillerie'-type shoulderboard and has the greyish-silver- (ie. somewhat sub-dued) 'upperdeck'. The board shows the desirable darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured branchcolour (and was constructed from the typical smooth-type wool as to be expected). The board never had a tongue attached and was most certainly used as a board of the sew-in-pattern. It does show a (I deem) 'Feinzink'-based (bright-golden-toned and somewhat tarnished) so-called: 'winged-shell'-cypher or: 'Ziffer' and a single (regular-sized and equally-styled) pip period-attached (denoting the rank of an: 'Oberleutnant') as can be seen on the pictures. The board measures approximately 11 cms. in length each as more often. These 'standard'-pattern, naval officers'-type shoulderboards were specifically intended for usage on the field-grey KM-attire. Simply an attractive 'Küstenartillerie'-related shoulderboard that was intended for an: 'Oberleutnant eines Küsten-Artillerie-Abteilungs'!
