Pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards as was intended for - and clearly worn by! - a: 'Hauptmann eines Infanterie-Rgts.'

This is a neat - and just moderately used- ie. carefully tunic-removed! - pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards as piped in the desirable white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Hauptmann eines Infanterie-Regiments' (or: captain who served within an army-infantry regiment) and that comes in an overall nice- (I deem surely issued- ie. worn and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderboards are 'text-book'-examples of the 'Heeres'-type, 'Infanterie'-related (typically 'front-worn'!) shoulderboards and have the silver-coloured (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued', silverish-grey-toned) 'upperdecks' (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show the desirable white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from smooth-styled wool as more often). The boards never had any tongues attached and were clearly used as a pair of the 'sew-in'-type (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards - which shows four (identically-styled, zinc-based) pips period-attached - measure approximately 10,5 cms. in length each and shows some obvious age, wear and/or staining as to be expected. The neat pair was never before in collectors'-hands and originates directly from a private-household in Germany. Simply a neat WH (Heeres) shoulderboard-pair that belonged to a: 'Hauptmann eines Infanterie-Regiments' and that is - I deem - accordingly priced!
