This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single! - (I deem) pre- (early-war-) period- (ie. 'M40'-type'- and/or rounded-styled and I deem typical-tailor-made-pattern), WH (Heeres) NCO-type shoulderstrap as was piped in the desirable golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Unterwachtmeister o. Unteroffizier des Divisions-Kavallerie- o. Aufklärungs-Abtlgs. 246' (or: junior-sergeant who served within the army cavalry-related, reconnaissance unit, numbered: '246') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The neat strap - which is of the typical early- ie. pre-war-type - just shows some moderate age and wear but is void of any real damage or alike: it has the darker-green-coloured- and/or (boiled)woolen-based 'upperdeck' and does show as stated above the neat golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branchcolour and/or woolen-type piping attached (as more often seen). The shoulderstrap comes mounted onto its functional (also boiled-woolen-based) tongue and does show some moderate age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap - which measures approximately 11,3 cms. in length - shows the (typical) silverish-yellow-toned NCO-braid attached and shows a period-attached 'Schulterstückübershube' that shows the numerals (ie. cyphers or 'Ziffern') '2'-, '4'- and/or: '6' which are executed in yellowish-golden-toned 'Kurbelstickerei' (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a neat 'Heeres'-type NCO-type shoulderstrap that belonged to an: 'Unterwachtmeister des Divisions-Kavallerie- o. Aufklärungs-Abtlgs. 246': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
