This is a truly attractive - very desirable albeit regrettably single but nevertheless rarely found! - example of an early-period (ie. 'M40-pattern and/or rounded-styled and bright-pink- ie. 'rosaroter'-piped), WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Soldat eines Panzer-Schützen-Regiments' (or: simple soldier who served within a specific anti-tank regiment) and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat strap - which is executed in the darker-green-coloured wool as to be expected - shows the bright-pink- ie. 'rosaroter'-coloured and woolen-type piping. The neat strap measures approximately 11,5 cms. in length and comes without tongue: it was carefully cut-off a tunic. It shows the neat (machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei'), Gothic-styled: 'S'-cypher (or: 'Ziffer') and shows a removed numeral as per regulation. The 'S'-cypher is executed in the bright-pink- ie. 'rosatoter'-coloured wool ie. linnen as to be expected. The strap - which is of the typical 'standard-issued'-pattern and that came with a standard (silver-toned) tunic-button as found - shows as stated above moderate usage and wear (just some minimal age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present). It should be noted that ALL 'cyphered', enlisted-mens'-pattern, 'Panzer-Schützen'-type shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'rare' and come not that often for sale. This particular example originated from a small but wonderful collection of rare 'Panzer'-related shoulderstraps I recently acquired for the web-site. In any case is this a very attractive and early-war-period, 'Heeres-Panzerschützen'-related, EM-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat eines Panzer-Schützen-Regiments': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
