Single, early-period- (ie. 'Reichswehr'-era) WH (Heeres) 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstrap: 'Unteroffizier des Infanterie-Rgts. 16'
Category:
This is an attractive - regrettably single but actually fairly scarcely found! - (I deem) early-period (ie. 'Reichswehr'-era), WH (Heeres) 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstrap having the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured and/or typical woolen-type piping attached as was executed in neat (smooth-based) field-grey-coloured- and/or: typical wool as was specifically intended for - and with certainty used by! - an: 'Unteroffizier des Infanterie-Regiments 16' (or: NCO and junior-sergeant who served within the army-infantry-regiment, numbered: '16') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit just moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The strap - which measures 11,7 cms. in length - is fully 'text-book' in all facets and is showing the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured and/or woolen-type piping attached. The strap - that shows the early-styled- ie. 'dotted'-pattern NCO-braid attached - comes mounted onto its functional tongue: moreover, does it show the white-coloured, '1'- and/or: '6'-cyphers (ie. numerals or: 'Ziffern') which are executed in so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei' as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). These type of (early) shoulderstraps are of the pre-war-period-pattern straps and were worn in the period around 1935/1937 (but were worn-out during the war). The strap only shows moderate wear and/or age and is just nicely preserved over the years (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive - and with certainty quite scarcely encountered! - 'cyphered' shoulderstrap that belonged to an: 'Unteroffizier des Infanterie-Regiments 16' and that is (I deem) accordingly priced!
