This is a neat - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless not that often seen! - non-'cyphered'- (and I deem typically early- ie. mid-war-period-pattern), officers'-type shoulderboard as was specifically intended for usage onto the darker-blue-coloured navy-style tunics as was intended for usage by an officer holding the the rank of a: 'Kapitänleutnant' (being a rank that was the equivalent of a captains'-rank) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The board - which is fully 'text-book' in all facets and that measures approximately 10,3 cms. in length - shows the darker-blue- (ie. almost black-) coloured 'underlay' and/or (minimallly tarnished) silverish-toned (and typical braid-based) 'upperdeck' and comes mounted onto its functional (smaller-sized) tongue. The board shows a matching pair of (golden-toned, regular-sized) pips period-attached denoting the officers'-rank of a: 'Kapitänleutnant'. The board shows some moderate age and/or wear (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive, non-'cyphered', naval officers'-type shoulderboard for a: 'Kapitänleutnant' was intended for usage to the darker-blue-coloured attire: too bad it is only a single example!
