This is a truly attractive - regrettably single but nevertheless truly very scarcely encountered and very desirable! - WH (Heeres) early-war-period, so-called: 'M40- o. M43'-pattern, 'summer-type'-enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap (being of the model as was specifically intended for the 'Gebirgsjäger-Windjacke') as was piped in the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Soldat eines Gebirgsjäger-Regiments' (or: simple soldier ie. private who served within an army mountain-troops regiment) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The regular-sized shoulderstrap - which measures approximately 12 cms. in length as to be expected - has the 'standard-type'- and/or field-grey-coloured, linnen-based 'upperdeck' and shows the darker-green-toned- and desirable 'silk-like'-type piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap - which comes mounted onto its period tongue - shows as stated above some moderate usage and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible and/or present). It should be noted that all 'Gebirgsjäger'-related, WH (Heeres) shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'fairly scarce' even more so when they are specifically produced for usage onto the specific 'Gebirgsjäger'-type, protective '3/4-model' jacket ie. rain-coat (or: 'Gebirgsjäger-Windjacke'). This strap originates from an older 'Gebirgjäger'-related shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a very attractive - and/or: early- (ie mid-) war-period - 'Heeres'-related EM-type 'Windjacke'-shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat eines Gebirgsjäger-Regiments'!
