The attractive - and with certainty not that easily found! - WH (Heeres) later-war period- (ie. 'simplified'- ie. 'M44-'-pattern-) enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap shows the desirable bright-green- (ie. 'wiesengrüner'-) coloured branchcolour and was intended for a: 'Soldat der Panzer-Grenadier-Truppen' (ie. simple soldier who served within an infantry-related, so-called: rifle-regiment ie. unit). The neat strap shows the typical 'silk-like'-type piping attached and measures approximately 10,5 cms. in length and is clearly of the simplifie, so-called: 'last-ditch'- (ie. 'M44'-) pattern. The shoulderstrap is constructed from the (typical) field-grey-toned, later-war-type wool and comes naturally mounted onto its functional tongue (as can be noticed on the pictures). The strap just shows some minimal age ie. staining and was (I deem) simply never worn nor used. It should be noted that these bright-green-piped- (thus 'Panzer-Grenadiere'-related) and/or later-war period- (ie. 'simplified'- ie. 'M44'-pattern) enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstraps are quite desirable and can easily be graded 'scarce' even more so when they come in such a very nicely preserved condition as the strap on offer here: too bad that it is only a single specimen!
