This is a truly attractive - fully matching and with certainty quite rarely found! - pair of early-war-period (ie. 'M36 o. M40'-pattern and/or rounded-styled), WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', NCO-type shoulderstraps as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied des Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs-Schützen-Regiments 4' (or: NCO and sergeant who served within a specific cavalry- ie. reconnaisance regiment or unit, numbered: '4') and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. I deem just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat straps - which are executed in the darker-green-coloured and/or 'smooth-type' wool - show the typical (woolen-based) golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured piping attached and measure approximately 11,7 cms. in length each. The straps never had any tongues attached (they were used- and intended for usage as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern and show the regular, standard-issued, silver-toned NCO-braid attached. Next to this show both straps a neat pair of (matching, Gothic-styled, 'Buntmetall-based', smaller-sized and/or bright ie. frosted-silver-toned) so-called: 'S'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') and a pair of equally-styled (smaller-sized) '4'-numerals and/or single pip each period attached. All six devices are nicely preserved but do show some obvious age and/or wear (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps - which are of the typical 'tailor-made'-pattern - show as stated above only moderate usage and wear (just some moderate age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present). It should be noted that ALL 'cyphered', NCO-pattern 'Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs-Schützen'-type shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'rare' and come not that often for sale. In any case a very attractive and early-war-period, 'Heeres-Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs-Schützen'-related, NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied des Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs-Schützen-Regiments 4': I deem that I have priced this attractive pair according to its obvious scarcity and/or desirability!
