Category:
This is an attractive - fully matching and with certainty desirable! - pair of neatly 'cyphered', WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards as piped in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for - and with certainty worn by! - an: 'Oberleutnant eines Maschinengewehr-Abteilungs' (or: army-lieutnant first-class who served within an infantry-related, machinegunners unit ie. regiment) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit hardly used- nor worn-), condition. The neat shoulderboards are constructed in the smooth-type (ie. 'moleskin'-like) wool and are per regulation piped in white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured wool. The boards - which have a length of approximately 11 cms. each - come mounted onto their (typical) officers'-type tongues (as can be noticed on the pictures). The boards have the neat 'greyish-silver'-coloured (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued'-) 'upperdecks' and were as such (I deem) used on a typical 'front-type'-type tunic. The boards show some minimal age ie. staining caused by years of storage and/or minimal wear and/or usage: they were probably hardly worn and were stored as such for decades. The boards show a matching pair of (golden-bronze-toned, 'Buntmetall'-based, larger-sized- and/or Gothic-styled) 'M'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') and also matching pair of (regular-sized and equally-styled) pips period-attached: all four devices show some minimal tarnish ie. wear (and have lost most of theire once golden-toned appearance: the golden finish has just faded away over the years (ie. has 'migriert'). Nevertheless still an attractive WH (Heeres) shoulderboard-pair that belonged to an: 'Oberleutnant eines Maschinengewehr-Abteilungs' that is with certainty accordingly priced!
