This is an attractive - regrettably single but nevertheless scarcely found! - later-war-period, so-called: 'M44'-pattern- and typical simplified WH (Heeres) NCO-type 'cyphered' shoulderstrap as was piped in the bright-pink- (ie. 'rosaroter'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by an: 'Oberfeldwebel eines Panzer-Jäger-Abteilungs' (or: senior NCO ie. sergeant first-class who served within an army anti-tank- ie. tank-destroyer-unit) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The shoulderstrap - which measures approximately 11,5 cms. in length as more often seen - has the neat 'silk-like'-type piping attached (as is more encountered with these later-war-period shoulderstraps). The shoulderstrap - which originates from a larger cloth- and insignia-collection I recently acquired for the web-site - is constructed following the typical '1944 cloth-minimising production-manner', using different shades of wool and/or material (as can be seen in the pictures). The strap shows the (typical) bluish-grey-coloured ie. truly sub-dued NCO-braid attached and comes mounted onto its functional tongue. Next to the (typical) bluish-toned NCO-braid does the piece show a neat (greyish-silver-coloured, zinc- ie. 'Feinzink'-based, Gothic-styled- and/or: larger-sized) so-called: 'P'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer') and a pair of equally-styled, zinc-based and/or regular-sized pips period-attached denoting that the strap was intended for an NCO who held the rank of an: 'Oberfeldwebel' (ie. sergeant first-class). All three devices show some regular age and/or minimal tarnish but are still nicely preserved. It should be noted that all 'M44'-pattern, NCO-type straps are actually quite hard to find and can easily be graded 'scarce': even more so when they are of the NCO-pattern and piped in the desirable, bright-pink- (ie. 'rosaroter'-) coloured branchcolour. Simply an attractive - and/or fully 'text-book'!, M44-pattern NCO-type 'Panzer-Jäger'-shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by an: 'Oberfeldwebel eines Panzer-Jäger-Abteilungs'!
