This is an attractive - fully matching and actually fairly scarcely encountered! - pair of (I deem) early-period (ie. 'Reichswehr'-era and/or 'pointed-styled'), WH (Heeres) 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstraps (being of the generic-pattern having no piping attached as per regulation) as executed in the neat field-grey-coloured-wool as was specifically intended for - and with certainty used by! - a: 'Feldwebel des Infanterie-Regiments 18' (or: NCO and sergeant who served within the infantry-regiment, numbered: '18') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit just moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The straps - which measure 11,5 cms. in length each - are fully 'text-book' in all facets and are executed in (typical 'Reichwehr'-era pattern!) field-grey-coloured wool having no piping attached. The straps come naturally mounted onto their functional, tongues attached and do show the (silverish-toned, 'dotted'-ie. early-style) NCO-braid: moreover, do they show two pairs of (silver-toned, older-styled and larger-sized) '1'- and/or '9'-cyphers (ie. numerals or: 'Ziffern') and a pair of (larger-sized) pips period-attached. All 6 devices are executed in minimally tarnished so-called: 'Buntmetall' (as can be seen on the pictures). These type of (early) shoulderstraps are of the pre- ie. early-war-period pattern straps and were (I deem) worn in the period around 1935/1937 and were worn-out during the war. The pair - that came with a pair of smaller-sized, silver-toned buttons attached - only shows moderate wear and/or age and is just nicely preserved over the years: it was once glued into an album or scrapbook and does show some minimal glue-remains on its backs (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive - and with certainty quite scarcely encountered! - 'cyphered' shoulderstrap-pair that belonged to a: 'Feldwebel des Infanterie-Regiments 18' and that is (I deem) accordingly priced!
