Pair of WH (Heeres) neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboards as piped in the darker-green-coloured branchcolour: 'Oberstleutnant des Gebirgsjäger-Rgts. 137'

The very attractive - and I deem just moderately used and/or worn! - WH (Heeres) pair is piped in the typical darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured branchcolour: as such, the pair was intended for usage by a high-ranked officer holding the rank of an: 'Oberstleutnant des Gebirgsjäger-Regiments 137' (ie. lieutnant-colonel who served within the: 'Gebirgsjäger-Regiments 137'. The attractive pair was most certainly issued and worn as such but comes, nevertheless, in an overall nicely preserved and/or fully untouched, condition. The shoulderboards - which are constructed from the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured, 'smooth-type' (ie. moleskin-like-) wool - come in an excellent condition overall and will be hard to be upgraded (the pair is fully matching as can be seen on the pictures). The somewhat 'sub-dued' appearance of the 'upperdecks' is fully present and/or preserved (something that is to be expected for a 'Heeres'-related shoulderboard-pair). The boards are just a tiny bit 'tarnished' by normal age and/or storage for decades and do show some age, wear and staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The neat boards - which measure approximately 11 cms. in length each - show a matching pair of the neat (matching, golden-toned, 'Buntmetall'-based- and/or smaller-sized) '1'-, '3'- and/or: '7'-numerals ie. cyphers (or: 'Ziffern') and two (non-identical, somewhat tarnished and equally golden-toned) pips period-attached denoting the (high) officers'-rank ie. function of: 'Oberstleutnant des Gebirgsjäger-Regiments 137'. The straps never had any tongues attached and were clearly used as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair originates from a private-household in Germany (where it was found together with the collar-tab-pair I offer under nr. #72446 and hand-embroidered, officers'-type 'Edelweiss'-patch I offer under nr. #72447): all insignia-pieces belonged to the same officer who wore these insignia and stored them for decades. Simply a very attractive, neatly 'cyphered' and/or 'Heeres'-related officers'-type shoulderboard-pair that was intended for usage by an: 'Oberstleutnant des Gebirgsjäger-Regiments 137'!
