Single, WH (Heeres) NCO-type (ie. 'M40'-pattern) shoulderstrap: 'Unteroffizier eines Jäger- o. Gebirgsjäger-Rgts.'
Category:
This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless quite scarcely found! - WH (Heeres) early-war-period, so-called: 'M40'-pattern and darker-green- (ie. grüner-) piped NCO-type shoulderstrap as was intended for - and clearly worn by! - an: 'Unteroffizier eines Jäger- o. Gebirgsjäger-Regiments' (or: NCO ie. junior-sergeant who served within an army mountain-troops regiment) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The shoulderstrap - which is approximately 11,2 cms. sized in length - does show the darker-green-coloured- and/or woolen-based 'upperdeck', woolen-type piping and/or 'standard'-issued-pattern, silver-toned (ie. 'dotted'-pattern) NCO-braid attached. The strap is nicely preserved but does show some obvious age and/or wear and does show a tiny (but non-disturbing) moth-hole (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap - which came mounted onto its functional tongue and that shows a (per regulation!) period-removed cypher as more often - shows as stated above some moderate usage and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible and/or present). It should be noted that all NCO-pattern, WH (Heeres) 'Jäger- o. Gebirgjäger'-related shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'fairly scarce'. Simply an attractive and/or: early-war-period, 'Heeres'-related NCO-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by an: 'Unteroffizier eines Jäger- o. Gebirgsjäger-Regiments'!
