This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless not that often seen! - 'cyphered'- (and I deem typically early- ie. mid-war-period-pattern) enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap as was specifically intended for usage on the field-grey coloured navy-style tunics by an soldier holding the rank of a: 'Soldat eines Küsten-Artillerie-Abteilungs' (or: private serving within a naval, coastal-artillery unit) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The strap - which is fully 'text-book' in all facets and that measures approximately 10,2 cms. in length (and has a width of 5,3 cms. as usually seen) has a field-grey-coloured- and/or woolen-based 'upperdeck' and comes mounted onto its functional tongue. The strap shows a neat interwoven 'crossed-anchor'-cypher (as executed in golden-yellow-coloured linnen). The strap shows some moderate age and/or wear (as can be seen on the pictures). It should be noted that ALL 'Küsten-Artillerie' insignia-pieces are actually quite hard to encounter: those 'cyphered' examples even more so, which grades them easily as 'scarce'. Simply an attractive, neatly 'cyphered' naval EM-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage on the field-grey-coloured attire: too bad it is only a single example!
