Single, black-coloured, WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', EM-type shoulderstrap as was intended for a: 'Soldat einer Panzer-Aufklärungs-Abtlgs.'
Category:
This is a truly attractive - very desirable albeit regrettably single but nevertheless exceedingly rarely found! - example of an early-war-period WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap (as was specifically intended for usage onto the black-coloured, Panzer wrap-around tunics) by a: 'Soldat u. Mitglied einer Panzer-Aufklärung-Abtleilungs' (or: simple soldier who served within a specific tank reconnaisance-unit) and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. just minimally used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat strap - which is executed in the black-coloured wool as to be expected - shows the golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured and/or woolen-type piping. The neat strap measures approximately 11 cms. in length and comes without tongue: it was carefully 'cut-off-a-tunic'. It shows the neat (machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei'), Gothic-styled: 'A'-cypher (or: 'Ziffer') attached (which is executed in the golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured wool ie. linnen as to be expected). The strap - which is of the typical 'standard-issued'-pattern - shows as stated above only minimal usage and wear (just some minimal age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present). It should be noted that ALL 'cyphered', enlisted-mens'-pattern, 'Panzer-Aufklärung-Abteilungen'-type shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'exceedingly rare' and come not that often for sale. This particular example originated from a small but wonderful collection of rare 'Panzer'-related shoulderstraps I recently acquired for the web-site. Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that this example came with a (period-attached) yellow-toned, regimental-indicator-loop (ie. 'Lasche') attached. In any case is this a very attractive and (I deem) early-war-period, 'Heeres-Panzer-Aufklärung-Abteilungen'-related, EM-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat u. Mitglied einer Panzer-Aufklärung-Abtleilungs': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
