This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless not that easily found! - WH (Heeres) early- (ie. pre-) war-period, so-called: 'M36- o. M40'-pattern- (pointed-styled) neatly 'cyphered'- (and/or per regulation non-piped!) NCO-type shoulderstrap as was intended for - and clearly worn by! - a: 'Feldwebel des Infanterie-Regiments 16' (or: NCO and sergeant who served within the army infantry-regiment, numbered: '16') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The neat shoulderstrap - which is approximately 13 cms. sized in length - does show the darker-green-coloured- and/or woolen-based 'upperdeck' and 'standard'- (ie. early- ie. 'dotted'-) pattern, silver-toned NCO-braid attached. Moreover, does it show a pair of (matching, larger-sized, early-pattern and/or aluminium-based) so-called: '1'- and/or: '6'-cyphers ie. numerals (or: 'Ziffern') and a single (and equally aluminium-based, regular-sized- and somewhat tarnished) pip, period-attached. All three devices are nicely preserved but do show some obvious age and/or wear (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap - which came mounted onto its functional tongue - shows as stated above some moderate usage and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible and/or present). This strap originates from an older shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site: it came with a silverish-green-toned (pebbled-styled) company-button attached (that shows the numeral: '6'). Simply an attractive and/or: early-war-period, neatly 'cyphered' and/or 'Heeres'-related NCO-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel des Infanterie-Regiments 16': being a famous regiment that participated in the occupation of Holland in May 1940 (aka: 'Fall Gelb')!
