Very unusual, pair of WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', early-war-period- (ie. 'M40'-pattern) NCO-type shoulderstraps as was specifically intended for a: 'Wachtmeister des Eisenbahn-Artillerie-Abteilungs-Stab (mot) z.b.V. 781'

This is a truly attractive - very unusual and/or fully matching! - pair of neatly 'cyphered', standard-issued- (ie. non-privately-purchased nor 'tailor-made'!) pattern, WH (Heeres) early-war period- (ie. 'M40'-pattern and/or: rounded-styled), NCO-type shoulderstraps (ie. 'Schulterstücke für Unteroffiziere des Heeres') as was piped in the desirable bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Wachtmeister des Eisenbahn-Artillerie-Abteilungs-Stab (mot) z.b.V. 781' (or: NCO ie. sergeant who served within the 'for special-purposes formed', (motorised) staff of the railway-artillery-regiment, numbered: '781') and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat straps - which have the 'standard'-pattern, darker-green-coloured- and/or typical 'smooth woolen'-based 'upperdecks' and that measure approximately 12,3 cms. in length each - show the neat bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured and/or woolen-type piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). Both straps show a typical (aluminium-based, Latin-styled and/or larger-sized) so-called: 'E'-cypher and two matching pairs of (older-styled, larger-sized and/or 'Buntmetall'-based) '7'-, '8'- and/or: '1'-numerals ie. cyphers (or: 'Ziffern') and two (larger- ie. regular-sized and also aluminium-based) pips each, period-attached denoting the NCOs-rank of a: 'Wachtmeister o. Feldwebel' (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps - that show the typical silverish-toned NCO-braid attached - come mounted onto their period tongues and do just show some moderate age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). This truly rare - and unsual! - pair originated from an older and larger cloth- ie. insignia-collection that was collected over more than 50 years and that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an excellent occasion to acquire a neat 'cyphered' NCO-type, 'Eisenbahn-Artillerie'-related shoulderstrap-pair for an I deem justified price!
