This is a truly very attractive - albeit regrettably single albeit nevertheless scarcely encountered! - early- (ie. mid-) war-period- (ie. 'M40'-pattern) neatly 'cyphered', WH (Heeres) enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap as piped in the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Soldat der Infanterie-Truppen u. Mitglied des Wehrkreis-Kommandos 5' (or: simple infantry-soldier who served within the region ie. 'Wehrkreis', numbered: '5') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The neat strap - which is of the early-war-period type - has the field-grey-coloured and/or woolen-based 'upperdeck' and does show as stated above the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour and/or woolen-type piping attached. The shoulderstrap comes mounted onto its functional tongue attached (it measures approximately 10,1 cms. in length as more often). It does show the neatly machine-embroidered, so-called: Latin-styled 'W'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer') and/or: Roman-styled 'V'-numeral (which are both executed in white-coloured machine-stitching ie. so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei') denoting that it was a strap that was used by a: 'Soldat' (ie. I deem recruiting-official) who was attached to the: 'Wehrkreis-Kommando', numbered: '5'. The strap shows some minimal age, wear and or minimal staining (as can be seen on the pictures). It should noted that these neatly 'cyphered' 'Wehrkreis-Kommando'-related shoulderstraps can easily be graded 'rare': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
