This is an attractive - regrettably single but but nevertheless truly scarcely found! - fairly early- (ie. rounded-styled), neatly 'cyphered', WH (Heeres) enlisted-mens'-type (ie. 'M40'-pattern) shoulderstrap as piped in the darker-blue- (ie. 'blauer'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for - and just moderately used by! - private (ie. 'Soldat' ie. 'Sanitäter' or medical-orderly) who served within the: 'Sanitäts-Abteilung 22' and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit minimally used ie. worn- and/or most certainly once tunic-attached-), condition. The strap is just moderately worn and does show some minimal wear, age and/or staining but is void of any damage or alike (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap shows the desirable darker-blue- (ie. 'blauer'-) coloured - and/or woolen-type piping attached and measure approximately 11,7 cms. in length. The piece came mounted onto its period tongue attached and showd the so-called (double): '2'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') which are neatly machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei' (as can be seen on the pictures). Both 'cyphers' are executed in the darker-blue- (ie. 'blauer'-) coloured coloured wool ie. linnen (and are neatly additionally-piped in light-blue!) as to be expected. The strap is constructed from the typical darker-green-coloured wool and is with certainty a 'standard-issued'-specimen. These type of shoulderstraps are of the fairly early-war-period-pattern straps and were worn in the period around 1939/1940 (and were 'worn-out' even during the rest of the war). This particular strap originated from a larger cloth- ie. 'cyphered'-shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a very attractive - and with certainty desirable! - 'cyphered', 'Sanitäter'-related EM-type shoulderstrap that belonged to a: 'Soldat des Sanitäts-Abteilung 22'. I deem that I have priced this very attractive - and scarcely encountered! - EM-strap according to its desirabilty and overall very nicely preserved condition!
