  1. Shoulderboards & -straps (pairs)

The attractive - fully matching and actually scarely seen! - pair of WH (Heeres) shoulderboards on offer here are 'text-book'-examples of the typical Heeres'-type, 'Kavallerie- o. Reiter-Reserve'-related shoulderboards and have the silverish-grey- (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued'-type) 'upperdecks': they are (I deem) just moderately used- ie. worn and show some minimal age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show the desirable golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branchcolour and have the typical dove-grey-coloured 'underlay' ie. secondary branchcolour as to be expected. The boards were constructed from the 'smooth-type' wool as to be expected and came mounted onto their period (thin-shaped) tongues attached. The neat boards measure approximately 11 cms. in length each and were (I deem) clearly worn- ie. carefully tunic-removed (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair shows two fully matching sets of (neatly golden-toned, older-styled, 'Buntmetall'-based, larger-sized- and/or fully identical) '1'- and/or '5'-numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') period-attached denoting that the pair belonged to a junior reserve-officer ie. lieutnant who served within the: 'Kavallerie- o. Reiter-Regiment', numbered: '15'. All four devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and fairly bright- (and/or quite shiny!) age-patina. Taking into account the fact that the set has silverish-grey- (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued'-type-) 'upperdecks' I deem that it was a pair that was used onto a 'front-used' tunic. It should, moreover, be mentioned that these neatly 'cyphered', 'Heeres'-type 'Kavallerie- o. Reiter-Reserve'-related shoulderboards are actually quite hard to come by and can easily be graded 'scarce'. Simply a very attractive shoulderboard-pair that belonged to a: 'Leutnant der Reserve des Kavallerie- o. Reiter-Rgts. 15'!
