This is an attractive - fully matching and/or with certainty scarcely encountered! - pair of WH (Heeres), neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboards (showing a pair of rarely observed, regular-sized- and bright-cgolden-toned so-called: 'L'-cyphers attached!) as was executed in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for a: 'Major eines Infanterie-Lehr-Abteilungs o. Regiments' (or: major and presumably instructor who served within an infanterie-related, schooling-regiment ie. unit) and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem clearly issued- and/or moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The attractive boards - which are executed in the typical, 'smooth'-like- (and/or white-coloured) wool (aka 'moleskin'-wool) - measure approximately 12,1 cms. in length each and have silver-greyish-coloured- (ie. truly somewhat sub-dued!) 'upperdecks': I deem that as such they were intended for usage on a 'regular front-used' tunic. The boards - that came with a set of silver-toned, so-called: 'screw-on' tunic-buttons (ie. 'Schraubknöpfe') attached - never had any tongues attached and were intended (and used as!) a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). Both boards show a pair of (scarcely seen, larger- ie. regular-sized, matching and neatly bright-golden-toned- and I deem 'Buntmetall'-based) so-called: 'L'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') period-attached: both devices are just minimally tarnished and/or stained but are still nice and/or pronounced (as can be seen on the pictures). This particular pair originated from a larger cloth- ie. shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a very attractive - and truly scarcely seen! - higher-ranked, officers'-type, 'cyphered' shoulderboard-pair that belonged to a: 'Major eines Infanterie-Lehr-Abteilungs o. Regiments'!
