This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless quite scarcely found! - WH (Heeres) early- (ie. pre-) war-period, so-called: 'M40'-pattern- (rounded-styled) and darker-green- (ie. grüner-) piped, enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap as was intended for - and clearly worn by! - a: 'Soldat eines Gebirgsjäger-Regiments' (or: simple soldier who served within an army mountain-troops-regiment') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The neat shoulderstrap - which is approximately 12 cms. sized in length - does show the darker-green-coloured- and/or woolen-based 'upperdeck' and has the woolen-type piping attached. The strap - which came mounted onto its functional tongue - shows as stated above some moderate usage and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible and/or present). It should be noted that all WH (Heeres) 'Gebirgjäger'-related shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'fairly scarce'. This strap originates from an older 'Gebirgjäger'-related shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive and/or: early-war-period, 'Heeres'-related EM-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat eines Gebirgsjäger-Regiments')!
