Moth-damaged (ie. relic but matching) pair of early-period (ie. 'M40'-pattern and/or rounded-styled), WH (Heeres) 'cyphered' EM-type shoulderstraps as was intended for a: 'Soldat des Inf.-Maschinengewehr-Abts. 47'

This is a neat - regrettably moth-damaged, matching and clearly used but nevertheless scarcely found! - pair of early-period (ie. 'M40'-pattern and/or typically 'rounded'-styled), WH (Heeres) neatly 'cyphered' and white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstraps as was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Infanterie-Maschinengewehr-Abteilungs 47' (or: simple infantry-soldier who served within a specific, infantry-related machine-gunners-unit numbered: '47') and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. clearly used- ie. worn- and relic-), condition. The neat straps - which are executed in the darker-green-coloured wool - shows the (damaged) white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured and/or woolen-type piping (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps measure approximately 12 cms. in length each and come mounted onto their period tongues. The straps show the neat machine-embroidered (by means of 'Kurbelstickerei'!) larger-sized: 'M'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer') and/or '4'- and/or: '7'-numerals which are executed in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured linnen as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps show as stated above clear usage and wear (both straps show evident age, dust and/or staining). It should be noted that ALL 'cyphered', enlisted-mens'-pattern, 'Infanterie'-type shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'very scarce': even if they come in such a relic condition. Still a neat early-war-period, 'Heeres-Infanterie'-related, EM-type shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Infanterie-Maschinengewehr-Abteilungs 47' that is priced according to its relic condition: a pristine pair would most certainly cost the double or more!
