Superb pair of WH (Heeres), 'cyphered' EM-type shoulderstraps: 'Soldat des Pionier-Btls. 24'

  1. Shoulderboards & -straps (pairs)

This is a truly attractive - fully matching and actually very scarcely found! - pair of WH (Heeres), early- (ie. pre-) war-period, 'M36'-pattern (pointed-styled), 'cyphered' enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstraps (being a pair having no branchcolour ie. piping as per regulation) as was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Pionier-Bataillons 24' (or: simple soldier ie. enigineer-soldier who served within the enigineer battailon, numbered: '24' ie. being a part of the 24th infantry-division) and that comes in overall very nice- (albeit just minimally used- and/or worn-), condition. The neat straps - which are both approximately 12,3 cms. sized in length - have the 'standard-pattern' and/or: darker-green-coloured- (and smooth-woolen-based) 'upperdecks' and have as stated above no piping nor branchcolour attached: they are of the 'generic pattern' (as can be seen on the pictures). The pieces came mounted onto their period tongues attached and show the so-called: '2'- and/or: '4'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') which are neatly machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei' (as can be seen on the pictures). Both 'cyphers' are executed in the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured coloured wool ie. linnen (and are neatly additionally piped in white!) as to be expected. The pair just shows some truly minimal age-, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a neat - and I deem quite early- (ie. pre- or early-war-) period - 'Heeres' EM-type, shoulderstrap-pair that belonged to a: 'Soldat des Pionier-Bataillons 24': I deem that I have priced this truly very attractive - and very scarcely encountered! - EM-type pair according to its desirabilty and overall very nicely preserved condition!
